Although still a sophomore at Berklee College of Music’s Boston Conservatory, New York born ballet dancer Sadiya Ramos is set to become a household name in the world of dance, having become the first ever recipient of Beyoncé’s Formation Scholars Award, which offers a $25k scholarship to female students studying creative arts subjects or African American studies at four select institutions.

Ramos began dance training at the age of six, and has since gone on to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2015 Special Olympics in LA, and danced in a peaceful protest against police brutality - in collaboration with hip-hop artist MoNL Music – in 2016.
